About

Julie is married to photographer Phil Mann.

She became interested in wedding photography some years ago after being asked to photograph her niece's wedding - which she really enjoyed but which taught her that it's very hard to be both guest and photographer! Shortly afterwards she was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to train with and work for a locally based well-established wedding photographer.

"I believe that the art of great wedding photography can't be learned from a book or even from going on a course, useful as that may be - the very best way to learn is to work alongside a professional who leads by example and encourages you as well as helping you all the way."

Julie is a member of the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers - SWPP.

Phil's interest in photography stretches back over 20 years. He has recently finished a year-long commission for the Duchess of Westminster, taking photos of the four Grosvenor rural estates in England, Scotland and Spain throughout the seasons. His work has appeared in Country Life and Cheshire Life magazines and in the book "Developing Vision & Style".

He was also a finalist in the Garden Photographer of the Year competition in 2008. Phil has a real eye for detail and a very artistic approach to photography.

"We really enjoy working with people & together as a team, creating beautiful wedding photographs that will be treasured for ever."
